Ten years ago, Volkswagen was using Paris Motor Show to introduce it’s first proposition for the SUV segment. The model was baptised Touareg and became rapidly a succes. Now, in 2012, Volkswagen it’s celebrating a decade of Touareg’s succes with a special edition. It is named simply “X”, the Roman symbol for 10.

The SUV comes in standard with 19 inch Moab alloy wheels, a Moonlight Blue Pearl Effect exterior paint, a large panoramic sunroof, silver anodised roof rails, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and darkened rear light clusters in LED technology.

Extra features are the “Chrome & Style” designer pack, the tinted side and rear windows and the “Touareg X” logos on the wings.

Inside, the passengers will enjoy amber brown Nappa leather, contrasting stitches, and illuminated front door sills with Touareg X lettering.

The new Touareg X can be ordered along five engines with different gearbox combinations. Prices begin in Germany from 61.205 euros. For this amount of money, the client will receive the 3.0 liter V6 TDI, with 204 horsepower and a 8-speed automatic transmission.
