Mitsubishi has unveiled the all-new next generation Outlander at the 82nd International Geneva Motor Show.
The new Outlander which measures 4,644 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,680 mm in height rolls on a 2,670 mm long wheelbase and was previously previewed through the Concept PX-MiEV and Concept PX-MiEV II show cars.
Its new design can be described as ‘Solid – Safe – Simple’ with some of the exterior elements including the round front fascia with wrap-around headlamps, a slim front grille with hockey shaped chrome strips and soft-contoured fenders.
On the inside the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander features high grade premium materials, a redesgined dashboard for better driver concentration, ergonomic steering wheel controls and high-resolution and easy-to-read instrument displays.
Due to its optional 3rd row the new Outlander can accommodate up to 7 people inside its cabin, while under the hood the car is going to be offered with a choice between a 2.0-litre MIVEC petrol rated at 150 PS (110 kW) and a 2.2-litre diesel also delivering 150 PS (110 kW).
The two engine options mentioned above are for the European market, where the new Outlander will go on sale this summer. The car is available with an all new Automatic Stop & Go system as well as with an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission.
