Kia has published a set of new photos along with details that explain how their new generation hatchback has become more mature.
The 2013 Kia ceed will premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month, with this latest version described as a combination between dynamic, sophisticated styling and maturity and prestige.
The new ceed 5-door hatchback is longer, wider and lower than its predecessor, with its coupe-like proportions emphasised by the steeply raked A pillar, the low belt line in the front and the lengthened side windows.
The car features the latest interpretation of the ‘tiger-nose’ grille, comes with aggressive looking wraparound headlamp clusters that now incorporate LED daytime running lights, various ‘small yet significant’ detail touches that enhance the premium feel, as well as sculpted door surfaces, a sweeping roofline, an integral rear spoiler and re-designed tail-lamps which extend into the bodywork.
At the interior the 2013 Kia ceed has also been enhanced to provide a more premium environment by using higher quality materials, improved switchgear, adding touch-screen technology and providing a better driving position.
The dashboard has a cockpit-like design while the main control panel wraps around the steering wheel. Various surfaces now come covered in soft touch materials, while the instruments and switches are picked in very thin chrome.
