A few days back, Audi took the wrap of its 2013 RS6 Avant super wagon. A car that will be officially unveiled next spring, in Geneva Motor Show. Unfortunatelly, the 560 horsepower estate wont be sold in the United States.

In a recent letter, Audi North America product communications manager John Schilling mentioned there are "no plans on bringing the RS6 Avant to the U.S."

The reason is simple: the station wagons are not very popular Across the Ocean. Not even those who offer you a V8 as standard.

The 2013 Audi RS6 Avant comes with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine generating 560 HP and 700 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the quattro all-wheel drive system via an 8-speed tiptronic transmission that enables the RS6 Avant to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of up to 305 km/h if you choose the right package to unlock the speed limiter.
