We’ve offered detailed information and photos with the 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG which come in saloon and estate body styles yesterday, and now a new performance model, this time based on the facelift version Mercedes C Class Coupe is about to debut.
We are talking about the 2012 Mercedes C55 AMG Coupe which has been caught barely wearing any camouflage by spy photographers. The ‘usual’ list of features are easily noticeable, meaning new side skirts, a large diffuser and the four tailpipe system plus AMG specific set of alloys and high performance brakes.
As the name indicates, the 2012 Mercedes C55 AMG Coupe will not be fitted with the same 6.3-litre V8 producing 457 HP (336 kW) and 600 Nm of torque like the sedan and estate, but a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 which is expected to develop 422 HP (315 kW).
The 2012 Mercedes C55 AMG Coupe might be unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, although we still have to wait for the official confirmation.
