Today the French manufacturer announced the 2009 Renault Clio Campus price in addition to launching the website where future buyers will be able to order the car at a special 9,999 Euros. This makes the 2009 Renault Clio Campus price 24 per cent cheaper if ordered from the website and the car will be based on the Dynamique equipment level version equipped with the 1,2 60 petrol engine. The second version equipped with a petrol powerplant is the 1,2 16V 75 version that has a price tag of 10,649 Euros while the Diesel dCi 65 and dCi 85 variants are priced at 11,999 Euros and respectively 12,899 Euros.
The 2009 Renault Clio Campus price could be slightly different for customers in France as the Diesel versions are eligible for a 700 Euros eco-bonus scheme. More details on optional equipment in the official press release below.
Renault press release :
To mark the renewal of the Clio Campus range, Renault has introduced Clio, an extensively-equipped exclusive series with a price tag starting from €9,999.
In order to appeal to internet users, a new, original and entertaining bespoke website has been launched:
In addition to providing an insight into the Clio world, this website gives privileged access to Clio at the exceptional price of €9,999, a saving to the customer of 24 per cent compared with
the Dynamique equipment level version on which it is based.
Web users will have the opportunity to specify the configuration of their Renault Clio before forwarding their chosen specification to the Renault dealership of their choice. They will then be contacted by sales staff with a view to finalizing the transaction.
Renault Clio particularly targets young drivers buying their first new car who tend to big
users of the internet. Its compact dimensions will also interest city-dwelling lady drivers looking for a wellequipped car which is inexpensive to run thanks to a range of punchy, responsive engines and low fuel consumption. Finally, its affordable pricing and five-door architecture promise to be of interest to families looking for a versatile vehicle as the household’s second car.
Readily recognizable thanks to specific badging on its tailgate, Renault Clio is based on the Dynamique version.
The equipment list features body colour front and rear bumpers (including foglamps incorporated in the
front bumper), side protective mouldings, door handles and tailgate trim. The dynamic, sporty interior
includes bucket seats, black-and-silver interwoven-pattern cloth upholstery, leather-trimming for the
steeringwheel and gearlever knob, red instrument needles and satin-finish chrome details.
Clio boasts a long list of comfort-related equipment, including manual climate control,
electric front windows and exterior mirrors, a trip computer and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The
2x20W radio-CD with remote display comes with two RCA sockets in the glovebox for connecting an
iPod® or other type of portable MP3 player.
Standing at a length of 3.81 metres, Renault Clio’s five-door architecture is particularly
versatile. In addition to being perfectly at home in built-up areas, it delivers a reassuring ride out of town, too, thanks to its range of responsive, thrifty engines.
When fully folded, the 60/40-split rear benchseat – which is equipped with three height-adjustable
headrests – frees up to more than 1m3 VDA of additional carrying space.
Options include lateral airbags, automatic climate control and cruise control with speed limiter.
Clio is built on the same platform as Renault Clio II and benefits from proven reliability,
making it a benchmark for any motorist looking for a vehicle which is affordable both to buy and to run.
Affordable to buy: Prices range from €9,999 to €12,899. All versions of Clio comply with the three criteria required to qualify for the Renault eco² signature. The dCi 65 and dCi 85 versions are
eligible for the €700 eco-bonus scheme (in France.
Affordable to run: Low insurance premiums (French fiscal rating of 4 or 5CV). Low servicing costs (every
two years or 30,000km in the case of petrol versions; yearly or every 30,000km for diesel versions). Its
fuel-efficient engines (the dCi 65 version returns extra-urban cycle fuel consumption of 3.8 litres/100km) put Clio’s running costs amongst the most competitive of the market. The price of Renault servicing plans was reduced in April 2009. Accordingly, the price of a 36-month 60,000km servicing plan for Renault Clio Campus dCi 65 has come down by almost 30 per cent.
