Hyundai history starts with the Pony concept car developed by Giugiaro. But few knows that the Italian designer also draw the Pony Coupe Concept, a car that was supposed to draw public attention nearly 40 years ago.

For this year’s Villa d’Este edition, Hyundai and Giorgetto Giugiaro teamed up to bring back to life the original Pony Coupe Concept.

As you can see, this car was not only a prototype back in the days, since the Pony Coupe Concept was the muse for the current Ioniq 5 and N Vision 74 concept. This concept car is a living statement for Hyundai’s history and it is very important that the Asian manufacturer decided to bring it back to life.
