When you say Ferrari you refer to a piece of racing history. Every Ferrari model is writing a page of history and last month, a 1963 250 GTO has become the most expensive car ever sold.

According to Bloomberg, the car was sold for 52 million USD by an unidentified buyer form Paul Pappalardo collector.

The unit sold carried chassis number 5111. This means that the car is the same one which won the 1963 Tour de France road race. Behind the wheels of the car was French driver Jean Guichet.

The previous record was achieved by a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO driven by Sir Stirling Moss for 35 million USD in 2012. In these conditions, the record rose with 49 percent in just one year and this confirms that Ferrari 250 GTO is the most valuable car in the history.
