Volvo announces the fact that it has made a series of updates for the 2012MY XC90 SUV.
These updates include a three spoke steering wheel, a series of aluminium inserts and a watch dial-inspired instrument
design with white lighting plus the tailgate which is now featuring a new leather grab handle has been divided into an upper and lower section.
The 2012MY Volvo XC90 also comes with a redesigned load cover and for those who want to stand out a little, the Executive version has been further enhanced with a series of visual components and ventilated leather seats with massage function.
Customers will also have the ability of turning their XC90 into a sportier looking SUV with the R-Design package which consists of a special chassis, redesigned upholstery, inlays and door panels, plus new 19 inch alloy wheels.
Power will continue to come from either a a 3.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol rated at 243 HP and 320 Nm of torque or a 200 HP/420 Nm of torque D5 turbodiesel.
The front-wheel-drive version 2012 Volvo XC90 will use a 2.4-litre 5-cylinder D3 turbo diesel capable of delivering 163 HP and 340 Nm of torque.
Fuel consumption figures indicate that the petrol version returns a combined 11.4-liters/100 Km (265 g of CO2/Km) while the 200 HP diesel version requires 8.3-litres of fuel per 100 Km (219 g of CO2/Km).
As you can imagine the least powerful model, the 2.4-litre D3 is also the most economical. Its combined fuel economy is 8.2-litres/100 Km with CO2 emissions of 216 g/Km.
