After expressing their intention of creating a sports division, Volvo seems to once again confirm the news by revealing the S60 Performance Project, a car which is based on the S60 T6 R Design that was developed in collaboration with Polestar and the tuners from Heico.
The Volvo S60 Performance Project is fitted with a 3.0-litre turbo plant which features revised electronics and on which the power level has been increased from 300 HP and 440 Nm of torque to 325 HP and 480 Nm.
Just like the R Design version, the S60 Performance Project sits on a lower suspension which positions the car with 15 mm closer to the tarmac, plus its springs are now 15 percent stiffer while the bushes are 20 percent harder than the ones on the regular S60.
A set of sportier looking 7-spoke design, 19 inch alloys along with a deeper tone exhaust system have also been added, and according to Volvo Australia, the automaker is currently gauging customer reaction in order to find out if the S60 Performance Project is worth being built in limited numbers.
