The Swedish carmaker Volvo released the official photos and details about the brand new V40 Cross Country, a crossover model that will be revealed next week at 2012 Paris Motor Show.

The new Swedish model is a rugged version of the V40 hatchback and follows the philosophy design as the XC70.

The crossover model from Volvo comes with some chunky black cladding around the modified front and rear bumpers and with a 40 mm taller ride height than the hatchback. The Volvo V40 Cross Country also receives new side sills, silver roof rails and new alloy wheels.

The Greek magazine 4Troxoi said that the new Swedish crossover will be available with all the petrol and diesel engines offered with V40 hatchback except the T3 1.6 liter.
