The Swedish car maker Volvo has announced that in 2014 will introduce a series of updates for the V40 and V40 Cross Country. On the outside there are a few minor tweaks, while on the cabin the customers will be able to choose the new Sensus Connected Touch infotainment system that comes with a 7 inch touch screen display. 

The most important change that we will see on the 2014 V40 and V40 Cross Country will be the new 1.6 liter four cylinder engine with 120 hp and 240 Nm. Thanks to its new technology, the unit will be able to run for 100 kilometers with 5.3 liters of fuel and with only 124 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

The D2 engine with 115 hp will have emit only 88 g/km (V40) and 99 g/km (V40 Cross Country) with a six speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, the V40 Cross Country with T4 or T5 engine can be ordered with an optional all-wheel drive system.
