Volkswagen is updating the current Golf Cabriolet range with new Euro6 engines and some equipment aligned to current asks from the public. The main reason for the engine updates is the consumption reduction by 15 percent for two TDI engines and four TSI gasoline units.

The new petrol units offers the Golf Cabriolet from 105 PS, to 125 PS,to 150 PS and in the case of the GTI Cabriolet 220 PS. Thi last version also has better performances: 0-100 km/h sprint takes now 6.9 seconds (predecessor 210 PS and 7.3 seconds). The consumption lowers by more than 15 percent and drops to only 6.5 l/100 km.

The diesel engines of the new generation are even stronger and more efficient than their predecessors. The 2.0 TDI with 150 hp means 10 additional horsepower, while the torque gets increased to 340 Nm. All this provide improved acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h by a seven-tenths (9.2 seconds) and all this at half liters less fuel consumption (4.6 l / 100 km).

The car also benefits from the latest generation of radio and navigation systems, radio "Composition Colour" and "Composition Media" (equipped with large multicolor touch screen and eight speakers). In addition, the navigation system "Discover Media" is available, which allows among other things connecting the phone via Bluetooth. In addition, all updates of the navigation software for the first three years are included.
