Hofele Design has modified the Volkswagen Phaeton converting in into an independent limousine and naming it the "Mythos Royal 12", as an indication to the number of cylinders from under the hood.
The Hofele Volkswagen Phaeton comes with a new rectangular front bonnet, a chromed front grille, a redesigned front bumper with integrated fog lights, plus a new rear apron that also accommodates the new trapezoidal tailpipes. Hofele fitted the Volkswagen Phaeton with a small spoiler lip and removed all VW badges replacing them with the "Hofele" bear crest or the Hofele "H".
The Hofele Volkswagen Phaeton has a 40 mm lower center of gravity thanks to an ETS lowering module and features a two tone body colour plus a set of 20 inch two piece alloy wheels that complete its custom look.
Inside the Hofele Volkswagen Phaeton the tuner is following the same principle, offering a two-coloured leather interior, and as far as technical improvements the company’s engineers can boost power from of the available engines in the VW Phaeton lineup.
As an example Hofele says that it can optimize the 3.0 TDI V6 engine so it can develop 275 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, while improved figures for their modified V8 and W12 engines have not been specified.
Hofele-Design press release:
Premium tuner Hofele-Design converts the VW Phaeton into an independent limousine, the „Mythos“.
The converted car is called "Mythos Royal 12", the number may be changed to "6" or "8" as it expresses the amount of cylinders the car has.
All VW badges are removed and are replaced by the "Hofele" bear crest or the Hofele "H".
The car has a new more rectangular bonnet / hood with big chromed front grill and a newly formed front bumper.
In the rear the car has a new more distinctive rear apron with integrated trapezoidal tailpipes, made of stainless steel, a new trunk / boot without VW badge and with a small spoiler lip.
The whole car is painted in two colours, like elder luxury cars, the paint is from Maybach.
New, luxury, two-piece alloy wheels with stainless steel lip and „Mythos“ writing are unique on this car. The size is 8,5J x 20" on the front axle and 10J x 20" on the rear axle.
The chassis is lowered by our ETS lowering module, this module lowers each setting another 40mm.
All engines of the VW Phaeton line-up are available, starting with the V6 TDI engine over the V8 up to the W12 engine.
Via engine tuning we can lift the output for example of the V6 3.0 TDI engine to 275 HP and 560 NM.
The interior of the "Mythos" gets a luxurious two-coloured leather equipment, in this case in the colours black / cognac-brown. On the seating and the door inserts the leather is stiched in diamond-shape as on the Bentley cars. The "Mythos" writing and the Hofele crest are engrained into the leather.
The instrument panel in front of the driver received additional wooden applications. The instruments are embedded into dark walnut burl wood and the „Mythos“ writing was added. The steering wheel was completely over-worked and was covered with leather in the colour cognac-brown.
The central analogue clock received a traditional face in beige colour, like the luxury cars of the 30th century.
