The Japanese car maker has recently announced pricing details for the 2012 Toyota Plug-in Hybrid and the Prius V MPV.
The Prius Plug-in Hybrid comes with a 4.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which will allow a 15 miles range of pure electric driving (at speeds of up to 62 mph), and according to the company the car is also estimated to deliver 49 mpg when operating in hybrid mode. Its charging time is 2.5 to 3 hours at a regular 120 Volt outlet, or 1.5 hours when using a 240 Volt outlet.
The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid price starts at at 32,000 USD, or at 39,525 USD for the Prius Plug-in
Hybrid Advanced. and both models qualify for a federal tax reduction credit of 2,500 USD. Sales for the plug-in hybrid will commence in October, and the first customer deliveries are scheduled for Spring 2012.
As for the Toyota Prius V, the automakers MPV which provide 58 percent more cargo space than the regular Prius, the estimated EP fuel economy figures are 44 mph in the city, 40 mpg on the highway and 42 mpg combined.
The Toyota Porus V price starts at 26,400 USD and reaches 29,990 USD for the range topping version (the Prius V Five).
The prices mentioned above do not include the 760 USD fee for delivery, processing and handling.
