The Japanese have revealed the first official teaser with Toyota Avensis Facelift, a car which comes with new styling, better quality and improved powertrains that will be showcased along with the Updated Prius, the 2012 Hilux and the 3-door version Yaris at this year’s 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Thanks to this initial image we can see that the 2012 Avensis will follow Toyota’s new design language with elements that include a new grille, newly styled headlamps incorporating LEDs, a more aggressive looking lower grille and bigger and balder looking headlamps.
Toyota tries to underline the fact that the new generation Avensis will also be better in terms of handling and driving dynamics, while the changes made to the powertrains will be responsible for improved efficiency.
As for the new Prius, Toyota has also released an image of its upcoming full hybrid model which according to them will be joined by the production version Prius Plug-in Hybrid and the seven-seat Prius+.
The Prius Plug-in Hybrid is the advanced Prius yet, with CO2 emissions of only 49 grammes per Km while the Prius+ will be Europe’s first MPV to deliver CO2 levels below 100 g/Km.
