SsangYong has officially unveiled the 2016 SsangYong Turismo Tourist Camper. The model is based on the Rodius and has over 5 meters long and features a 3 meter wheelbase. According to the car manufacturer, the SsangYong Turismo Tourist Camper is larger than a standard sized people carrier.

"Turismo is one of the largest cars on the market, and in standard form offers seating for seven adult passengers and their luggage, and therefore ideal for conversion into a two-person campervan. Wellhouse Leisure has done an excellent job in creating such a great vehicle for the booming leisure market", said the automaker’s UK CEO, Paul Williams.

In the UK, the SsangYong Turismo Tourist Camper will be sold starting at £29,995 ($37,287). The new SsangYong Turismo Tourist Camper features a portable toilet, fresh and waste water containers, 25-liter compressor fridge, small sing, gas bottle, 12v charging system, rear tailgate awning, sliding glass top hob for indoor/outdoor use and front folding seats that can be transformed in twin beads.

Under the hood of the SsangYong Turismo Tourist Camper is 2.2 liter diesel engine that can deliver 175 horsepower and 400 Nm peak of torque. The resources are sent to the ground via a seven speed automatic transmission or a six speed manual. The front wheel drive is standard, but you can chose the four-wheel drive layout for more money.
