At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Korean car maker SsangYong has unveiled the SIV-1 SUV Concept. This week, another concept, LIV-1, will make its official debut at the Seoul Motor Show on March 28. The concept represents SsangYong’s proposal for a large premium SUV created by the new "Robust Aesthetics" design philosophy.
LIV stands for “Limitless Interface Vehicle”, which is SsangYong, speak for “unlimited high performance and the value of large premium SUV concept.” The new LIV-1, SIV-1 and XIV series models will be part of SsangYong’s future SUV lineup.
The SUV has a sturdy stance with an appropriately sized hexagonal front grill and narrow peeled back headlamps. The bumper occupies most of the frontal area, which lacks a secondary air dam. The fog lamps look like LED units and there are small intakes below their enclosures to cool the tires.
The rear taillights complement the shape of the headlamps, while fog lamps feature at the rear too. The interior has a 2+2+3 seating arrangement making it suitable for countries like India.
No info about what’s powering the LIV-1 but we will know in a couple of days.
