Skoda is introducing for the first time an all wheel drive system on the Octavia RS. The third generation, launched in 2013, is very popular in Europe, so the Czech manufacturer decided to expand its range with the introduction of new version, available on both body variants: the sedan and the estate.

In combination with all-wheel drive, the Skoda Octavia RS is also using an automatic dual clutch transmission (DSG). This accelerates the Octavia RS TDI from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 228 km/h. The maximum torque of 380 Nm is 1750-3250 rpm. The combined fuel consumption is 4.9 l/100 km. This corresponds to CO2emissions of 129 g/km.

The power is distributed over the four wheels depending on the specific driving situation when the 4×4 technology is active. The wheels will not spin on the sport even when pulling away or accelerating rapidly.

The technological highlights include sports suspension with multi-link suspension and electronic differential lock XDS+ for dynamic cornering, innovative progressive steering and numerous assistance systems.
