The next generation of the Skoda Octavia is set to be
unveiled in November and will go on sale in the early beginning of 2013. This
announcement was made by the Czech officials during a conference held in
Moscow.
The new Skoda Octavia will be the fourth model from VAG to
use the brand new MQB platform. Thanks to this new technology, next-gen of
Octavia will be lighter and will have bigger dimensions.
Under the hood will probably see the same units as the new
Golf. We talk about a variety of diesel and petrol engines that will have the
new cylinder deactivation technology.
For the Octavia "hooligans" the Czech carmaker
will bring the hotter version vRS. Under the hood of the Octavia vRS we will
probably see the new 2.0 liter EA888 turbocharged engine, the same unit from
Golf VII GTI.
