The GReddy Scion FR-S race car was unveiled during the first day of the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, and it is represents one of the competitors in this year’s Formula DRIFT series which will be driven by veteran driver Ken Gushi.
GReddy and Scion Racing have worked hard on developing this performance version coupe inspired by the 2013 Scion FR-S, and their result is quite impressive as they claim that this baby packs no less than 600 HP.
Details are very limited at this point, with the automaker kind of hinting at the fact that this version will maintain the same architecture as the standard model, meaning that its front mounted engine will send power to the rear wheels.
Apart from the heavily modified engine the set of images that were released shows that the GReddy Scion FR-S has also been fitted with a new body kit, lightweight racing alloy wheels, bucket seats and most likely a roll cage.
