With a strong presence in South America, Renault is introducing a brand new model based on the European Dacia Duster. The car is called Dacia Duster Oroch and was already anticipated by a concept, introduced last year.

The new model was created especially for the Latin America, but most probably will be sold in Europe under the Dacia brand. It is Renault first medium-sized pickup creating a new segment in LCVs. The recipe is simple: the car combines the functions of a true double-cab pick-up with the space, performance and comfort of a compact and sporty SUV.

The new Renault Duster Oroch slots in between the half- ton and one-ton pick-ups. With four doors and five seats, it combines a double cab with a level of space comparable to a bigger pickup. Based on Duster, this pick-up is ideal for combined use. It is scheduled for launch in the second half of 2015.

"This new model, Renault’s first pickup, is the next step in Renault’s globalization strategy. With Renault Duster Oroch, the brand is launching its offensive in the competitive pickup segment", said Ashwani Gupta, Renault’s Global Head of Light Commercial Vehicles.
