Renault has officially unveiled the Alpine Celebration concept at the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours. As the name suggest, the car celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Alpine and it also serves as a sneak preview of the next year’s road-going model.

On the outside, the Alpine Celebration concept comes with a throwback design to the classic A110 Berlinetta and A310. The French model also has the familiar double headlight arrangement and the sloped roofline.

At the rear end, we have a fixed wing and a dual exhaust setup flanked by a massive air diffuser that incorporates an F1-like fog light.

Also on the outside you will notice the classic blue & orange paint scheme. Under the hood of the production model it can be a 1.6 liter Clio RS-sourced engine or a 2.0 liter Megane RS-source unit paired probably to a dual-clutch gearbox.

Tentatively called AS1 (Alpine Sport 1), the production version is expected to tip the scales at around 1,100 kg and will feature a rear-wheel drive layout.
