EuroNCAP published its latest results. The last ”crashing” session involved five different cars with five different results, some of them not so good.

After the Megane achieved only three stars this spring, Renault is disappointing again with the Twingo. Same situation with the new generation Toyota Aygo, also included in this test session. The current Mercedes GLA was the best performer with a maximum award of five stars.

The Renault Twingo managed only four stars because of its lack of autonomous braking system. Same situation with the Aygo, who received also four stars.

Disappointment also for the Nissan e-NV200 Evalia, the car that was recently elected to carry New York people as a taxi. The electric van achieved only three stars because of its poor safety systems.

Also an utility vehicle, the Citroen Berlingo achieved three stars, but its results for adult occupants protection were one of the lowest ever recorded. As it has the exact same platform, interior fittings and levels of safety equipment as the new Peugeot Partner, the three star rating applies.

PSA Peugeot Citroen have demonstrated that the Peugeot 108 and the Citroën C1 are identical to the Toyota Aygo in every way likely to influence safety. Therefore, these cars share the Aygo’s four star safety rating.
