Renault introduced today the new 2013 Fluence, the facelifted version of the current compact sedan, due to be launched at this year Istanbul Motor Show. Willing to inspire a more dynamic look on the family car, Renault offers LED daytime running lights.

The new Fluence also features Renault’s new styling identity. Its front end is the same as that of the brand’s other new models, with a vertically-set logo at the centre of a broad black strip picked out by chrome beading.

On the inside we have a new digital instrumentation for all versions and new upholsteries for the top choices.

The French engineers also intervened under the hood, where the 1.6 liter petrol engine is now 1.3 liter more economic and has 15% less CO2 emissions when is mated to a CVT gearbox.

The clients will also find the well-known 1.5 dCi engine, mated to a EDC double-clutch transmission. The diesel range has been extended to include the new dCi 130 engine. This 1.6-litre diesel engine is the most powerful in its class yet its fuel consumption has been reduced to just 4.6 litres/100km, equivalent to 119g of CO2/km.

From the basic equipment level up, all versions are ‘connected’ thanks to the availability of new Bluetooth radios equipped with USB and jack sockets.

The model will be produced as by now at Oyak-Renault factory in Bursa, Turkey. Official sales will start in January 2013.
