Porsche introduced today a new special edition Panamera. Based on the standard Panamera or Panamera 4 versions, the model is called Platinum Edition and is scheduled to reach showrooms in early January 2013.

The car packs some subtle styling features borrowed from the wealthier Turbo version. This means platinum silver metallic accents on the lower half of the exterior mirrors, on the air-inlet grille, on the fender vents, on the trim of the trunk lid and on the rear diffuser. Rounding out the package are the 19 inch alloy wheels, also found on the Turbo version.

Porsche also offers five special body-colours: black, white, metallic basalt black, metallic carbon grey and metallic mahogany.

For the interior, Porsche design studio choose a new black and luxor beige part-leather design as standard. Other highlights include a standard sport design steering wheel, Porsche logos on the headrests and custom door sills.

The 2013 Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition starts at $81,475 for the standard model and $85,575 for the all-wheel drive Panamera 4. In Europe, the clients will be able to opt also for the diesel version.
