Peugeot decided to keep the 5008 name but in a different form. The new range of the French manufacturer will feature an SUV that is called 5008, recently unveiled and expected to make its first public appearance during this year Paris Motor Show.

The all new 5008 is no longer an MPV. It is a large seven-seater SUV in the C segment. Long, horizontal bonnet, vertical face and raised body line. Its height remains the same (1.64m with roof bars ) on all models. At the front, the wide grille with chrome fins is exclusive, while the rear design features the gloss black strip and the signature LED ‘claw effect’ rear lights.

Inside, the driver’s environment has the newest version of the innovative i-Cockpit. With its compact steering wheel, a large 8 inch touchscreen dashboard and a 12.3 inch high-resolution digital head-up display.

The front seats feature an optional multipoint massage system, FOCAL Premium Hi-Fi system, large panoramic opening glass roof, permanent connectivity with the Mirror Screen function and 3D connected navigation system (with TomTom Traffic).

The safety features list include Advanced Grip Control, including new exclusive Hill Assist Descent Control (HADC), Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Distance Alert, Active Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Driver attention warning, Smart Beam Assistance, Speed sign recognition and speed suggestion, Adaptive cruise control with stop feature (automatic gearbox), Active blind spot monitoring, Park Assist and Visio Park (360° vision).

The all-new 5008 SUV, the 308 and the all-new 3008 SUV all feature the Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2) and the latest Euro 6.1 powertrains. Whether the choice is petrol or diesel, all versions have CO2 emissions as low as 117g/km for petrol and only 108g/km for diesel 

The all-new Peugeot 5008 SUV range includes four trim levels, two mainstream versions (Active, Allure) plus GT Line and GT versions. Manufactured in Rennes, France, the all-new 5008 SUV is unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and on sale in the UK from Spring 2017.
