Unveiled for the first time during this year Beijing Auto Show, the new Peugeot Exalt Concept will make its European debut during this year Paris Motor Show, in October.

Introduced as a four-door coupe with aggressive design, the new Peugeot Exalt will reach Paris with minor tweaks. As the model we saw in Beijing, the exterior is made of pure steel with different shades of grey, combined with a Shark Skin rear end.

This efficient textile creates a technical grain structure that markedly improves the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle and reduces fuel consumption. This solution also contributes on Exalt`s aerodynamic performance of 0.6 cX, along an air extractor in the rear bumper, the curve of the roof and the profiled mirrors.

The interior features nine toggle switches, the design of which is borrowed from the world of music. The small steering wheel is trimmed in leather and chiné—a natural wool-based mixed fabric. To improve comfort, the concept is fitted with an innovative air treatment system called ‘Pure Blue’. When the vehicle is stationary and unoccupied, Pure Blue emits bactericides and fungicides to purify the cabin surfaces.

Under the hood, we have the same architecture we saw on the Exalt Concept introduced in Beijing. Weighing 1,700kg, the concept is powered by a plug-in HYbrid4 drive train with a combined maximum power of 340hp shared between the four wheels.
