The Brits from Autocar have published a pair of photos with the
upcoming Opel Astra OPC, which will be badged as the Vauxhall Astra VXR
in UK, taken from a presentation brochure.
The Opel Astra OPC will
enter the hot-hatch segment as a serious competitor for the Renault
250, and is expected to pack no less than 300 horsepower, which means 50
additional horses from its petrol burning engine, when compared to the
previous generation.
As far as design, the Opel Astra OPC is
closely related to the CTG Paris concept unveiled at the Paris Motor
Show in 2010, and we can notice the aggressively styled front spoiler,
with the large air intakes, as well as the massive alloys.
The Opel Astra OPC will most likely be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
