Nissan has revealed the US market version of the 2013 Leaf. The model will be officially unveiled next week at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The new Leaf will be sold in the US with the similar technical and equipment improvements as the JDM model, but this one will be assembled at the Nissan Smyrna factory in Tennessee. The lithium-ion batteries will be also made in US, instead of being imported from Japan.

The 2013 Nissan Leaf has no design improvements but comes with better energy efficiency thanks to refined aerodynamics, enhanced energy management and powerful regenerative braking.
