Nissan has offered detailed information for the 2012 MY Nissan GT-R, a version which comes with improvements under the bonnet, but also with a revised chassis and transmission.
With sales expected to start on November 24th in Japan and in January 2012 in Europe, the 2013 Nissan GT-R produces 20 additional horses and 20 extra Nm when compared to the previous variant, meaning the total new output is 550 PS at 6,400 rpm and 632 Nm of torque from 3,200 to 5,800 rpm.
Despite the power increase the 2012 Nissan GT-R is now more efficient as it requires 11.8 litres of fuel per 100 Km (23 mpg) instead of 12 litres (23.5 mpg) and apart from its transmission which makes less noise as it shifts and uses a special competition oil, the suspension for right-hand-drive modes has been set asymmetrically in order to compensate to the extra added weight on the driver side.
This car’s body has also been reinforced in certain areas while at the interior the 2013 Nissan GT-R comes with blue lighting inside the tachometer ring, new Bose Precision woofers and the Rear View Camera system now offered as standard on every model.
In Japan and UK the automaker will also offer a track focused version, but we’ll get back with photo and details once everything is unveiled.
In the UK the new GT-R will go on sale in December.
