Nissan has officially unveiled the 2013 Altima as the new generation sedan has debuted in New York, and even though most of the relevant pictures have already been shown yesterday, we now also have a video that presents the car via static and dynamic scenes.
The sixth generation Altima is available with two engine options, a QR25 2.5-litre DOCH inline 4-cylinder plant producing 182 HP (up from 175 HP) and 180 lb-ft of torque, plus a VQ35DE 3.5-liter V6 which remains rated at 270 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
Both engines are linked to Nissan’s next-generation Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) in which 70 percent of the parts have been redesigned, with the automaker expecting the 2.5L version to return 31 mpg combined and with the 3.5L model expected to achieve 25 mpg combined (US rating).
Pricing for the 2013 Nissan Altima will start at 21,500 USD for the less powerful version while the 270 HP model will carry a 30,080 USD badge.
