Hennessey has prepared a more powerful version of the Venon GT. The 2016 Hennessey Venom GT will be unveiled during the 2015 SEMA Show and will feature 207 horsepower more than the previous version.

According to Hennessey, the increased performance is the result of being able to run with E85 Flexfuel. As a result the boost pressure of the twin-turbo 7.0 liter V8 engine has been increased from 19 psi to 26 psi.

Thanks to this extra power, the 2016 Hennessey Venom GT will be able to run from stand still to 96 km/h in 2.4 seconds, 0 to 160 km/h in 4.4 seconds while the acceleration from 0 to 322 km/h is done in 12.8 seconds. The quarter mile run is done in 9.4 seconds with a top speed of 268 km/h.

"Being the fastest matters. We are intent on keeping the Venom as the fastest, best performing and most exciting hypercar on the road. We plan to demonstrate our improved power and performance both in terms of straight line acceleration as well as road course handling and lap time performance", said John Hennessey.
