Back in 1962, the Riva Aquarama was a luxury wooden runabout built by Italian yacht builder Riva.

Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of the Italian car manufacturer has commissioned one of this beautiful ship. Today, the Dutch boat specialists from Riva-World have completed the restoration project for the boat that belonged to Ferruccio.

According to a few sources, the original boat was build 45 years ago in just three months. The Riva-World purchased the boat from a personal collector who bought it in 1993 after Ferruccio’s death.

According to Riva-World, the restoration process took three years during which the boat received 25 coatings, a fully repaired wooden hull and new upholstered seats. All the buttons and switches were restored and put back to look just like 45 year ago.

Under the "bonnet" of the Riva Aquarama are two V12 4.0 liter engines borrowed from Lamborghini GT 350. Each unit can develop 350 horsepower and can power the boat with speeds up to 48 knots.
