This is Pininfarina’s tribute to their late CEO Sergio. The name of the car is…well, Sergio, but the Italian designers call it a Barchetta car.

The Pinifarina Sergio is a concept cad built on top of the Ferrari 458 Spider and has the same exact 570 horsepower engine and DCT transmission.

As you can see, because of the lack of a windshield, Pininfarina’s designers inserted a wing in the front bumper to improve aerodynamics.

Also, thanks to the reduction in the size of the doors, which now rotate in a 45-degree angle, the body’s torsion stiffness exceeds that of the original spider.

Another good aspect is that the new car it weighs just a bit more than 1,200 kg (savings of about 150 kg over the Ferrari model), which means that the performance is slightly enhanced,0-100 km/h done in less than 3.4 seconds, and top speed of 320 km/h.
