The new Alpine Vision concept has a retro-inspired design and was revealed during a special event organized in Monte Carlo as a  connection to the classic Alpine’s rally success.

The new Alpine Vision is described as a high-performance, elegant, lightweight car dedicated to driving pleasure in its very purest form. The engine is mid-mounted and the car has a lightweight construction. According to rumors, the Alpine Vision production model will weight just 1.100 kilograms.

We don’t know what engine will be under the bonnet but there are a series of rumors. According to those voices, Renault will mount the 1.6 liter engine found in the Clio RS. There is a big chance to expend the displacement to 1.8 liters while the power could go up to 300 horsepower. The engine resources might be channeled to the rear axle with help from a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox.

The production model will be revealed before the end of 2016 and the model will go on sale in the second quarter of 2017.
