To address customers that want a Mini but don`t afford or don`t want a top of the range Cooper S, the British manufacturer launched the all new Mini One First.

It is the entry-level version of the car, sporting the same design cues, but with limited power under the hood. The Mini One First uses a three cylinders TwinPower Turbo 1.2 liter engine, delivering 75 hp and 150 Nm of torque starting 1400 rpm. The engine also comprises turbocharging, petrol direct injection and variable camshaft control on the intake and exhaust side.

The amount of power allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.8 seconds. Even so, the average consumption figures reach only 5.0-5.2 L/100km (45.2-47 mpg US / 54.3-56.4 mpg UK). The emissions go no more than 122 g/km.

The launch date is scheduled at the start of July in the United Kingdom, followed shortly by the rest of Europe.
