Mercedes has announces a new set of engines for its  A-, B- and CLA-Class. First of all, the A- and B-Class will have from now on a 160 CDI with 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, 90 HP and 220 Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 13.8 seconds (and 14.0 seconds for the B-Class).
 
Also, the A 160 CDI has a top speed of 180 km/h and has a combined consumption figure of just 3.8 l/100 km (98 g CO2/km), while the B 160 CDI’s consumption has been reduced from 4.4 to 4.1 l/100 km.

Another new arrival will be the B 220 4MATIC, the first B-Class with all-wheel drive. This one features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 184 HP, and has the ability of accelerating from 0-100km in 7.5 seconds, having a top speed of 225 km/h.

On the other hand, the B 180 CDI has a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 109 HP while its consumption has been reduced from 4.4 to 4.1 l/100 km.

In the case of the B 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Edition the consumption has been reduced even further by seven percent to 3.8 liters of diesel per 100 km. This one runs from 0-100 km/h in 11.6 seconds and hits a top speed of 190 km/h. 

Also, these models will be joined by the previously announced CLA 250 4MATIC, CLA 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG Edition 1.
