Back in 2009 MEC Design was showcasing their first design study based on the Mercedes SLS. Now they are back with a new customisation program, this time targeting the SLS 63 AMG, developed for a customer from Florida.
This latest kit looks less radical but with a long range of enhancements applied at both the exterior and interior. At the front the Mercedes SLS 63 AMG by MEC Design features a two piece front spoiler with optional LED lights and a spoiler lip in carbon finish, while for the rear the tuner offers three different diffuser options (Extreme , Formula or GT3).
Other exterior elements helping the Mercedes SLS 63 AMG achieve is ultra exclusive status include new side sills with 4 optional LEDs per side, a rear trunk-lid lip, a two piece rear roof spoiler and a roof airscoop. The car sounds more aggressive thanks to a custom built, stainless steel sport exhaust system, and it also sits closer to the ground due to its new Hydraulic Suspension which can lower the canter of gravity by up to 70 mm. The Mercedes SLS 63 AMG can also increase its ground clearance by 30 mm on both axles by pressing a button.
The exterior appearance is completed by a set of MEC Design Wheels mecxtreme3 set of alloys availble in 20 or 21 inch sizes.
At the interior the German Gullwing received a sports steering wheel with carbon and Alcantara trim (Leather/Alcantara or Carbon/ Leather combinations also available) plus numerous carbon fiber inserts applied on the middle console, door guards, entry guard, behind the rear seats, seat casing and various other places.
