German tuner INDEN Design took on the challenge of tuning the V12 BiTurbo version Mercedes SL65 AMG into an even more powerful roadster.
We remind you that the stock version and its 6.0-litre unit which has also been used in Maybach models, is developing 612 horsepower (450 kW) and 1200 Nm of torque (limited to 1000 Nm). Those figures are things from the past now, as the Mercedes SL65 AMG by INDEN Design is capable of unleashing 680 horsepower, plus the Flammersbach based tuner has removed the Vmax-lock.
In terms of appearance the roadster has also been further enhanced as it receiving a redesigned front apron with huge ventilation holes, a new bonnet that helps in cooling the engine through its newly added vents, wider front and rear wings, new side skirts, a new spoiler and a custom diffuser which accommodates the Black Sapphire exhaust pipes.
The Mercedes SL65 AMG by INDEN Design makes contact with the asphalt through a set of thee-part, 20 inch rims wrapped in high performance tires (265/30 and 325/25R20) plus the car’s center of gravity is now 45 mm lower thanks to the new electronic lowering module.
The interior received a black steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, and for those who want to see the custom roadster in the flesh will have to attend the Tuning World Bodensee in Friedrichshafen from 05 to 11 May 2011
