After CLA and A-Class Success in US and Europe, Mercedes is considering extending the current front-wheel drive platform range. With the addition of the CLA Shooting Brake.
A smaller brother of the current CLS Shooting Brake, the car was already green-lighted and confirmed by Mercedes-Benz officials.
The car is set to be unveiled at the end of this year, with first units arriving in spring 2015. The new CLA Shooting Brake will be the forth member of the A-Class family, together with the sedan, hatchback and crossover.
Based on the same front-wheel drive platform, the car will feature same range of engines, also the AMG developed 2.0 liter four cylinder engine. The unit will deliver 360 hp on the Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake AMG version, set to reach the market a few months later after the introduction of the standard unit. To ensure good traction and safety, the car will have also a 4Matic all wheel drive system.
