Mercedes-Benz has released the first teaser image of the upcoming S-Class Cabriolet, the model which is scheduled to be revealed next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Described as the company’s first flagship-level luxury four-seater since 1971, the upcoming model will use an electrically retractable folding fabric roof with a multi-layer configuration and a large glass rear window. As you can imagine, the roof has been designed in order to mimic the looks of the S-Class Coupe even though the rear end will be longer.

The engine lineup will be carried over from the coupe and there will also be an S63 and S65 versions. Rear wheel drive will be in standard, but Mercedes-Benz will definitely offer several engines with 4MATIC all-wheel drive setup.
