Mercedes unveiled today two photos of its future AMG GT model. The car will try to fill up the absence of the current Mercedes SLS AMG, that will be phased out this summer.

The Mercedes AMG GT will abandon the Benz inside its name, showing a new strategy for AMG division. The two photos have been published to show the interior of the car and its high level of craftsmanship. The seats will be dressed in a two-tone red and black theme leather upholstery. The dashboard and the center console will follow the same pattern, aplying the AMG logo on the armrest.

Even if the car is still a mystery, there are voices that talk about a V8 4.0 liter engine, twin turbo equipped, that can offer as much as 520 hp for its young drivers. The engine will also be offered in a more modest configuration of 480 hp. The top of the range model will be the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series, expected to feature around 580 hp.

The car will be revealed during this fall, probably in October, during Paris Motor Show.
