BRABUS is presenting their new range of accessories designed to turn the 2012 Mercedes SLK into an even more exclusive roadster which also packs a little more horsepower than the standard version.
The sporty/elegant range of exterior components have also been optimised in terms of aerodynamics, and these include two front spoiler lips which help reduce lift on the front axle, new side sill attachments, a new diffuser and a trunk lid spoiler.
The BRABUS 2012 Mercedes SLK is also featuring a centrally mounted rear deflector integrated into the diffuser, a four pipe exhaust system and custom design wheels ranging from 17 to 20 inches in size for which the tuner recommends high-performance tires from Continental, Pirelli or YOKOHAMA (size 235/30 ZR 20 at the front and 275/25 ZR 20 at the back).
The BRABUS 2012 Mercedes SLK sits with 30 mm (1.2 inches) closer to the ground due to a new set of sport springs, while in the performance department, the car’s four cylinder direct-injection engines can produce additional horses thanks to the processor-controlled BRABUS ECO PowerXtra CGI auxiliary control modules.
On the SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY version for example, the gain in performance is of 26 HP (19 kW) and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) of torque while the SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY raises from 204 HP (150 kW) to 230 HP (169 kW).
