Maserati is celebrating in 2014 their 100th anniversary. They have chosen to celebrate this important milestone by introducing a range of GranTurismo MC Centennial Editions at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

The new special editions are available as a coupe or convertible and can be ordered in seven colors. In addition, they have unique interior that corresponds with the exterior paint scheme. For now, the Italian car manufacturer didn’t go into specifics but Magma Red models are featuring black leather seats and a dashboard painted in red, white and blue. In addition, we see carbon fiber trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Just like the standard model, the GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 unit rated at 454 horsepower and 520 Nm peak of torque. The engine resources are put to the ground via a six speed automatic transmission. Under these conditions, the Italian supercar can sprint from stand still to 96 km/h in 4.7 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 297 km/h.

"The GranTurismo MC Centennial range are vibrant offerings which reference the storied passion and romance of the Maserati tradition. Along with the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans, which have found a welcome reception in the market, the sporty new GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition coupes and convertibles are for those who desire inspired automobiles", said Maserati North America CEO Peter M. Grady.
