Maserati has confirmed pricing for their right-hand drive version GranCabrio Sport going on sale in the UK in October, 2011.
First seen at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the Maserati GranCabrio Sport is a four seater convertible designed by Pininfarina which extracts power from an an alloys 4.7-litre V8 producing 450 HP (331 kW) and 510 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm.
Benefiting from Maserati’s Friction Reduction Programme and a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with MC Auto Shift Software, the Maserati GranCabrio Sport is capable of sprinting from nought to 62 mph (0 to 100 Km/h) in 5.2 seconds and also of reaching a top speed of 177 mph (285 Km/h). 
The car is equipped with the Skyhook active suspension system which has been revised in order to generate a sportier sensation behind the wheel plus grooved and drilled dual cast brake discs which provide the proper stopping power.
When compared to the regular version, the Maserati GranCabrio Sport is characterised by a series of dynamic looking features which include a black grille with red accents, black look headlights, front corner splitters, redesigned side sills, and 20 inch Astro design wheels.
The same theme is continued at the interior where the GranCabrio Sport features newly designed seats, longer gear shift paddles and aluminium pedals.
