Maserati wants to rise its global sales to 50.000 units a year, until 2015. A bold ambition, possible only if the fresh new Quattroporte will be a succes. The new Quattroporte was unveiled today, and it will make its public debut at next year Detroit Motor Show.

The new Maserati Quattroporte is a high-performance sports luxury saloon that reinterprets the design features of classic Maseratis in a contemporary design language.

More generous in size when compared to the previous model, the new Quattroporte maintains some of the elements found on the previous model: the front grille, the three side vents and the triangular C pillar.

Under the hood we will find a Ferrari based engine, designed and developed by Maserati and Ferrari engineers, ready to be produced at Maranello.

Roberto Corradi, Maserati Vehicle Development Director, declared: “Maserati engineers have worked – with a competence matched only by their passion – in chassis designing and engineering, weight reduction, ergonomic enhancement to develop a car capable of fitting different powertrain architectures and transmission configurations for the most diverse driving conditions but always maintaining Maserati’s trademark best-in-class driving comfort.”
