The new Lotus Exige S Roadster is among the many new models being exhibited at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show these days.
The car is described as "more raw than a Japanese tasting menu" and it combines the open air driving experience with the power produced by a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine, (in this case we are talking about 350 PS and 400 Nm of torque).
The engine can be mated to a paddle operated 6-speed manual or an optional Serial Precision Shift (SPS) transmission and when it comes to performance we are talking about neck-snapping 0 to 100 Km/h acceleration times of 4 seconds (0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds / 0 to 160 Km/h in 8.5 seconds) and a top speed of 233 Km/h (145 mph).
The Lotus Exige S Roadster does its thing by consuming an average of 10.1-litres of fuel per 100 Km (28.0 mpg), and emitting 236 grams of CO2 into the atmosphere per Km.
The main markets for the Exige S Roadster will be Europe and Asia, while in the US this model will not be available.
