The Lexus LF-LC Concept has premiered at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit today so naturally that we now have an official press release and a few extra photos that show the new design study from different angles.
Penned at the Calty design studio in Newport Beach, California the LF-LC is a 2+2 coupe that combines "avant-garde beauty and advanced technology" and some of its most striking features include the company’s signature spindle grille with a 3D mesh pattern and framed by a deep aluminium surround, the L shaped daytime running light, the vertical fog lamps and their fading dot matrix pattern, the glass roof and the tail lamps, inspired by the look of a jet afterburner at take-off.
The interior of the Lexus LF-LC Concept is also characterised by dynamic lines, with the automaker contracting on enveloping the driver in a deeply scooper side panel and a high, curved console. The elements that capture our attention here are racing style steering wheel and the two 12.3-inch screens as well various surfaces presented in a combination of leather, suede, brushed metal and wood.
"This thought-provoking design exercise is a stunning expression of
creativity," "Combined with a next-generation hybrid
powertrain, this concept promises a rewarding driving experience that is
also kinder to the environment."
