The roofless Lamborghini which appeared in single leaked image published by us yesterday, and which the Italian supercar maker has christened the J Speedster, is a special one-off model based on the Aventador LP700-4 which has already been sold for 2.2 million Euros.
The Lamborghini J Speedster which also lacks a windscreen, is capable of hitting speeds of more than 300 Kmph due to the 700 PS produced by its 6.5-litre V12 positioned behind the passenger seats.
The J Speedster is described as the most uncompromising super sports car that the brand has ever made, with its naming inspired by FIA’s ‘Appendix J’ regulations which enforce certain technical specification for racecars in various classes.
The car measures 4,890 mm in length, 2,033 mm in width and 1,110 mm in height, it sits on uniquely designed 20/21 inch wheels (front/ rear), it features numerous carbon fiber additions to both the exterior and interior and can be admired at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show until March 18th.
The Lamborghini J Speedster also features special bucket seats, and its wealthy owner will definitely need special protective gear to drive it around even at reasonably low speeds.
Despite its hefty price tag, the J Speedster which by the way weights 1,575 Kg, has been stripped down of features such as air conditioning and satellite navigation.
